The drilling process begins with a phone consultation from the client. The first step is a site visit with the client to determine the best location for the well. Once the site is selected, we handle the filing of all necessary state and local permits before mobilizing the equipment to the job site.
The process starts with setting up the drill rig and drilling a 10-inch hole, typically to a depth of about 18 feet. Next, we lower a 6-inch steel casing into the hole and seal it in place using state-approved sealing materials. This step ensures the casing is secure and prevents any potential contamination from entering the well.
Drilling continues as the casing is advanced in search of water. Once water is located, we test the volume to determine the most appropriate completion method for the well. Completion techniques may include using a PVC liner, screens, filter packs, or a combination of these, tailored to the well's specific needs.
After the well is completed, C&N prepares and files a state well report, providing a copy to the client for their records. Throughout the process, we ensure every step adheres to state codes and standards, delivering a reliable, high-quality water well.

Item descriptionWell rehabilitation is a viable option for restoring the performance of a failing well. To determine if a well is a good candidate for rehabilitation, we start with a pump test and collect water samples to establish a baseline for water quality and production.
The process involves removing the pump and conducting a thorough inspection of the well using a camera to assess the condition of the casing and screen sections for signs of corrosion or plugging. Next, we mechanically swab the casing and screens, perform a chemical cleaning, and airlift debris out of the well to ensure it is cleared of obstructions.
After the cleaning process, we reinstall the pump and conduct another pump test to measure production improvements. In most cases, well rehabilitation results in a production increase of approximately 25% compared to the initial pump test.
This process not only enhances water production but also helps extend the life of the well, ensuring reliable performance for years to come.
